“I need to check up on Jessy.” She suddenly said after a while, moving hurriedly out of the bed.
| moved with super human speed so | was at her side immediately because just as | expected the moment she
got out of the bed she staggered and if it were not for my fralready holding her up she would have been
coming in contact with the floor.
“I told you Freya, you have to rest more. You don't feel well enough to be able to move around just yet. Jessy is
alright, | promise. Just rest a little.” | coaxed gently.
Guiding her back onto the bed and tucking her in again, | placed a gentle kiss on the top of her forehead and
when | pulled away to find tears streaming down her eyes, it broke my heart even more.

“What's the problem Freya? Why are you crying?”
“It’s my fault. It’s my fault that this is happening with Jessy.”
“No, you can’t say that. You had nothing to do with this and there wasn’t much you could do to stop it anyway.
You didn’t know this was going to happen.” | said.
“But | did! All the signs were there, | saw her cand go and do all of these things right before my very eyes
and | didn’t say a word about it, | kept letting it go, | didn’t want to pay it any attention, and now look at it, I'm

“Hey, hey, Freya look at me.” | called out when she began to get a little hysterical, the sound of my voice
seemed to calm her down because she stopped talking and looked straight at me.
| wiped the tears streaming down her face with my fingers and remained quiet for a few seconds hoping to give
her a little tto relax before | spoke again.
“Now calm down and telleverything. This is about Emilia right?” | asked and she nodded her head.

before she began talking.
“From the very first tthat we both cto live here, I just knew that she would be trouble for me, but the
moment | noticed something was really off with her was the first tthat w-we, you know.” She said, her
cheeks turning crimson.
| knew exactly what Freya was referring to and even the situation was not enough to stop the chuckle that came
out of my lips. Which was a good thing because Freya smiled a little.
“Well after we did that and | was going to my room that morning, | saw her coming out of the kitchen and it was
obvious that she had been outside in the garden, her clothes and fingers were stained and she was very hostile
but that wasn’t just it. When she turned around to leave | saw something stick out of her pockets, | couldn't
figure out what it was at the tbut now the picture is clearer. It was plants of ssorts.”
Freya paused and the faraway look in her eyes letknow that she was transported to that day again. There
were more tears rolling down her face at this point and no matter how often | wiped at them, more just kept
pouring down her face.
“After that day, it was one thing or another. It was your pictures next, I'm not sure what she was trying to
achieve from that but | believe that she had been the one to plant it there. Then another t| found the garden
gate open and when | went to lock it was to find her scrunchie outside of it.

Two weeks after the scrunchie had been in my cupboards, | found her in my room rummaging through my
drawers until she found the hair band and when she did and | threatened to report her to you she threatened me
