“Cause it’s a dinoso.” | heard Jessy’s voice as | walked into the dining area.

“So this dinosaur was the one talking to you?” Greyson asked and the hint of confusion in his voice made me

laugh.

“Yes daddy.” Jessy said, nodding her head rapidly for emphasis

“Ummm okay. So-so what did the dinosaur want?” Greyson asked arning tofor help.

“He wantdaddy.” She said and I rolled my eyes.

“Are you sure it’s not the other way around babe? Are you sure it’s not you who wants a dinosaur?” | asked and

Jessy shook her head no.

“Dinoso wantmommy.”

Thankfully Christie cin with our food and | had a great distraction so | left father and daughter to their

conversation.

“Okay, maybe tomorrow we could go to the stores and try to find your dinosaur. Okay babe?” Greyson said and

We began eating in silence, with Jessy sharing Greyson’s food and it wasn’t until a couple of minutes later before

| was finally speaking again.

“I don’t want to leave her here alone while we're out.”

That had been my fear since the previous night but | hadn't had the tto process it well enough. There was no

way my heart was going to be at rest if | didn’t

Now that Jessy was in safe hands and | let Greyson know as much.

“We won't be leaving her here. Thankfully, Smith has the day off and has accepted to look after Jessy for the

duration. I'm enrolling her in the pack’s school soon, so she can get to be with her mates and learn too, but for

today Smith will be watching her.” Greyson explained and it felt like | could finally breathe in relief.

It was a half hour later that we were finally leaving the house, since Jessy had decided to mess up her dress and |

had to change her into new ones.

The duo sang along to all the children songs that was played while | just enjoyed looking out of the window at

the pack members going about their day.

Greyson’s pack was the most peaceful. He was the powerful Alples King of course but | honestly thought that it

went beyond that. Greyson did his best to attend to his people and was a very hir Alpha. He provided and

protected them at all cost and it wasn’t hard to see why the people loved and respected him. Rightfully so too.

We pulled up at Smith’s hfirst and after a too long exchange of pleasantries and multiple kisses that Jessy

misisted on giving us both, we finally made it to the training school.

“Alpha Greyson, it's good to see you again. Been a while since you were here. One of the men that had been

training a set of young men before we walked in, spoke.

“I've been busy Tristan, but it's good to know that | was missed. the back prepared?” Greyson asked and Tristan

gave him a wide smile-before nodding his head.

“Thank you. No disturbances please. Greyson said and then taking my hands into his, he led us to the back.

“What are we going to be doing today?” | asked

“We're just going to work on your endurance honey.”

Before | could respond to him, we reached our destination and the view amazed me. It remindedof the fields

that was now quite honestly one of my favorite places but only this tit was smaller and didn’t have the

aesthetic of the bigger field. It was still quite beautiful and the greenery of the place madehappy.

“What are we doing first?”

“We? No, not we. You babe. You are going to take a lap round this field, while | stand here and cheer you on.”

Greyson said and | began laughing.

“Wait, you're serious?” | asked horrified.

“Of course I'm serious.”

“Greyson do you see the size of this field? | won't be able to make it half way! I could die!” | said tically.

Although the field wasn’t as big as the one we had our picnic at. It was still quite large, especially if | was going

to run around it. There was no way | could survive it.

“Well, good thing I'm always prepared for things like this. This bucket of water will do a good job of bringing you

back to life, | promise.” There was a smirk on the Alpha’s lips that letknow that he was enjoying this moment

a lot.

And with a dirty look sent his way, | began my run around the field. Quarter way through and | could feel myself

begin to actually feel dizzy. | could hear Greyson’s cheers but it sounded like it was coming from very

far away.

but | pushed It didn’t even sound like we were in the sspace at all. Black spots soon began to form in front

of my eyes through it. Even when | knew that Greyson would never judgeif | were to stop, | still felt like | was

going to be disappointing him and that was the last thing | wanted.

| could hear the sound of my breathing in my ears and if felt like the fields were closing in on me. | didn’t stop

though until | reached Greyson on the spot that | had taken off from

| could still hear Greyson speaking but | knew that | was slowly losing consciousness. | felt my body go lax
