Forget them. Suzy had already said her plece, and whatever they chose to do from here on out was their

problem, not hers.

Let them exhaust themselves she wasn't going to engage.

But Suzy had underestimated their determination, as well as their capacity for absurdity. She had also grossly

overestimated how peaceful ignoring them could be.

The two men, one older and one younger, treated each other like mortal enemies. Whatever one did, the other

immediately tried to one-up.

For instance, when Dylan sent her a bouquet of flowers, Elliot immediately sent one too-only his had 999 roses.

Not to be outdone, Dylan sent 9,999 roses, which Elliot promptly tried to outdo again.

Back and forth it went, until by midday, Suzy's charming little rental cottage looked less like a hand more

like a florist's shop.

After Elliot's confession, Suzy had moved out of his place, not because she was afraid of him, but because she

wanted to give him sspace to cool off.

Instead of a hotel, she'd rented a quaint, locally styled cottage. But now, from the front gate to the inner rooms,

every inch was packed with flowers.

And yet, the competition didn't stop there.

By lunchtime, the flowers were replaced with a barrage of meals. Dylan sent her classic takeout, so Elliot

countered with fresh sushi rolls, gourmet pasta, barbecue platters, and fiery Cajun dishes.

Every type of cuisine imaginable arrived, one delivery after another.

The stream of delivery drivers was relentless, each one carrying something new. None of the meals repeated,

but the chaos remained the same

Suzy had never experienced a headache quite like this one.

Despite making it clear to both of them that she wasn't interested, they seemed utterly incapable of taking no

for an answer.

Finally, by 3 p.m., the barrage of lunch deliveries cto an end. Suzy thought she'd finally get a moment's

peace, but not even five minutes later, there was another knock at the door.

Sighing in frustration, she opened it anyway. It wasn't the delivery workers’ fault- they were just doing their jobs.

But this time, it wasn't lunch.

It was afternoon tea.

Cakes, coffee, milk tea-every possible treat she could imagine.

The moment one man started, the other immediately followed. Sure enough, another delivery driver arrived

shortly after.

What followed was another two hours of relentless competition. By the tthe clock struck five and dinner

loomed on the horizon, the afternoon tea deliveries seamlessly transitioned into dinner orders.

Suzy spent the entire day either opening the door for delivery drivers or walking back and forth to do so. If she

wasn't signing receipts, she was waiting for the next batch to arrive. Food, drinks, random gifts-her entire

cottage was filled to the brim, inside and out, until there was barely any room to step.

And still, the two men showed no signs of stopping. If this continued, they'd probably start sending midnight

snacks next.

Staring at the mountain of deliveries surrounding her, Suzy's gaze narrowed, a dangerous glint flashing in her

eyes. Pulling out her phone, she made two calls, one after the other, summoning them both.

The two men arrived faster than she expected, each looking at her with hopeful anticipation. Suzy glanced

between them her lips curving into a faint, enigmatic smile. Then she gestured at the pile of food and drinks

cluttering the room.

"You should remember what you ordered, right? If not, check your receipts. Sort out what each of you sent, and

then..."

Her smile widened, and a mischievous sparkle lit her eyes as she finished, "...eat it all."

The two men stared at her, dumbfounded. "Eat it?"

"That's right, eat it!" Suzy nodded, looking perfectly serious. "Didn't you both want

a chance? Here's your chance. Whoever finishes their pile first wins."

“Let's see if this doesn't put an end to your nonsense,” she thought.
