Rosalie had nothing more to say to Sebastian, nor did she wish to continue arguing.
"If that's how you see things, then there's nothing I can do. I can't change your way of thinking," she said.

If f you don't feel grateful, fine, but now you're blaminginstead? Do you have any idea how disheartening that is?" "Thank you for saving me," Rosalie said coolly. "I truly owe you one." "What kind of attitude is that?" Sebastian snapped. "They say that true feelings are revealed in times of crisis. I risked my life to protect you, and what did I get in return? You mockwith sarcasm. How many men would do what I did for you? If it weren't for me, you would have-" "Sebastian," Rosalie interrupted him, unable to hold back anymore. "You killed my husband, kidnapped me, madeendure an earthquake, and then saved me. And now you wantto thank you? Should I be grateful that you rescuedfrom the hell you threwinto? Should I appreciate you for cleaning up the mess you created?" Sebastian's face darkened with fury. His eyes burned with anger and frustration, emotions raging within him. Yet in the end, all he said was, "You're heartless." Rosalie could no longer hold back her emotions and argued with him. She had been expecting him to explode in rage, but instead, he merely accused her of being ungrateful.
"Yes, I'm heartless. Say whatever you want. You look fine, so just rest. I'm going to see Nana. She needs me," Rosalie said and turned to leave.
"Stop right there," Sebastian ordered.
"What now?" Rosalie asked, barely containing her anger.
"I adopted her to make our family whole, not so she could replacein your heart. I already know I don't mean much to you, but now it's clear that you care about Nana more than you care about me. And that...displeases me." Rosalie turned back to face him. "Are you insane? You're jealous of a little girl?" "I'm a madman, remember? That's nothing new." Sebastian waspletely unbothered. "So, are you staying with me, or are you going to see her? You decide." His voice was calm, but the threat was clear-if she got too close to Nana, he would grow jealous and lose control.
Rosalie had promised Nana that she would be back soon, but now it seemed she wouldn't be able to keep that promise.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmA few days later, Sebastian was discharged from the hospital.
е Nana's injuries were severe, so she still needed to stay for further treatment. Rosalie wanted to stay and take care of her, but Sebastian naturally refused and forcibly took her away. As for Nana, Sebastian arranged for someone else to look after her.
Seven days ago, the earthquake had lasted over a minute, reaching a magnitude of seven. The surrounding buildings had collapsed, and the disaster had spread over 60 miles. Even Sebastian's villabad beenpletely destroyed. Hence, he took Rosalie to a new place. Though the scenery wasn't as breathtaking as before, the house was still luxurious, albeit smaller in size.
"Sebastian, once Nana recovers, will you bring her here?" Rosalie asked.
She feared that he would abandon Nana. The child was an orphan and had no one to rely on. If Sebastian abandoned her now, where would she go? On top of that, she had lost a leg. "You really wantto bring that kid back? When I first took that kid in, you didn't seem all that fond of her," Sebastian said.
Back then, Sebastian had affectionately called her Nana, acting like a loving father who cherished her as his own.
But now, the way he referred to her-as "that kid"-like she had nothing to do with him at all.
