Chapter 989: Do You Suspect This Person is Claudia? Tina stepped into the elevator, glancing at the yellow-glowing jade pendant in her hand. She casually slipped it into her pocket. It held little value to her, but it might mean a great deal to Jennie and her family.

When Tina reached the ground floor, she bumped into Hugo, who had just returned. Spotting her, Hugo walked over quickly, waving enthusiastically. "Tina!" Tina smiled warmly. Tina knew Hugo cared deeply for her, but every tshe felt it so clearly, her heart warmed a little more.

"Hugo, how's the company doing?" "I was just about to tell you," Hugo replied, his excitement apparent. "The company plans to release a new product before the end of the year. We'll market it alongside our classic line, which should help us break into the local market faster. What do you think?" Once the topic of the company cup, Hugo seemed unstoppable.

She didn't approve of our marriage back then, so after we got married, they barely kept in touch. Later, I heard she moved away, and they never saw each other again." After saying this, Hugo seemed startled. He lowered his voice and glanced around nervously. "Tina, is something wrong?" Tina could tell what he was worried about. The last incident with Claudia and her disguise had left Hugo deeply shaken. Even now, he hadn't fully recovered from the trauma.

As it got late, Tina prepared to leave. "Hugo, I've already told Jennie-I'll be coming over regularly to treat the child." "Good," Hugo replied. "It's late. Be careful on your way back." Once inside the car, Tina narrowed her eyes and called Jayden. "Look into anyone in Ensford who might be deliberately approaching the Reed family. Also, investigate this Nancy woman." She said you were on your way back, so I stayed here instead of going out." Tina thought of the jade pendant she'd received earlier and took it out for another look. After confirming there was nothing unusual about it, she set it aside.

Jared finished the last touch and brought the strawberry cake over. When he noticed the pendant on the table, he asked, "What's this?" Tina took a bite of the cake and glanced at it casually. "A thank-you gift from Jennie's sister." Jared could sense Tina was in a low mood. "Wasn't it just treating the child? Did something happen?" Tina continued eating as she replied, "Uncle, do you remember Claudia's powers? Her disguise ability is something none of us can see through. Just a few days ago, she ate a human heart to heal herself. For all we know, she might have already regained her abilities." Jared raised an eyebrow. "So, do you think this person is Claudia?" Tina didn't nod. She wasn't sure yet. "I can't say. She doesn't have any inner force in her pulse, but something about her feels completely opposite from Jennie." Jared sat down beside her and spoke slowly. "If we're not sure whether it's Claudia, let's not alert her. Tomorrow, I'll have someone keep an eye on things discreetly. If anything happens, we'll be able to respond immediately." Tina pressed her lips together. Until Jayden sent over the information, everything was just speculation. During dinner, Jared casually asked her about the child. "Jennie toldabout the kid's situation. What do you think? Anything unusual?" Tina frowned at the thought of the child. "He's been poisoned. Both his body and mind have suffered significant damage. Even if he recovers, he might never be completely normal." Jared nodded in agreement. "Physical wounds can be treated. While Hayden seemed like the perfect choice, she hesitated. "But his injuries..." "Injuries?" Jared chuckled. "Did his performance during the White family incident seem hindered in any way?" Tina smiled. With Hayden at the Reed family, she could rest easy.
