Chapter 424:
The doorman looked at the lobby manager, aggrieved. The lobby manager observed the scene and the doorman,
who didn’t realize the severity of the situation, and said angrily, “Go to the finance department and get this
month’s salary. Then, leave immediately.”
Initially, the doorman thought that since his uncle was the chef of the Duke’s Mansion, he hadn't made a big
mistake. At most, he expected to be scolded, and his salary to be deducted.
He didn’t anticipate that the lobby manager would be so heartless. Naturally, he refused to back down and
started yelling. Eventually, he was dragged away by the security guards. It was at that moment that RK made his
move.
RK, who didn’t stop them, took Stella’s hand and walked inside. She looked reluctant, but felt powerless to resist.
She obeyed RK'’s orders and followed him in.
As soon as they entered, waiters greeted them with smiles and led the way, striving to provide perfect service.
They couldn't afford to offend RK, the wealthy patron.
The lobby manager wiped the sweat from his brow with his sleeve and let out a long sigh of relief. Fortunately,
Mr. Kingston was in a good mood that day, so he didn’t care much about the incident. Otherwise, the lobby
manager would have been unable to keep his job.

A waitress guided them into a private room. RK held Stella's hand and pushed the door open. The room was
primarily decorated in warm colors, with light pink wallpaper and napkins, white tablecloths, and chairs.
Exquisite tableware adorned the table, along with a transparent vase filled with roses in the center. A few
candles flickered, making every detail in the room feel perfect.
RK slowly pulled out a chair and gestured invitingly. Stella seized the opportunity to sit down and surveyed the
layout of the room, which aligned with her aesthetic standards. It was clear that a lot of effort had gone into
arranging the space.
However, Stella didn’t appreciate it. With a straight face, she looked at RK, who sat at the other end of the table,
smiling at her. She decided to take the initiative, “Just tellwhat you want to discuss.”
RK spread his hands and replied, “Let's fill our stomachs first before we talk.” Afterward, he gestured for the
waitress to hand the menu to Stella, who flipped through it and tossed it back onto the table.

She looked around and couldn't help but laugh sarcastically. “I don’t like to eat anything. You can order. This
place is known for traditional food, yet you're ordering Western cuisine. Don’t you think that’s strange?”
RK didn’t seem to notice Stella’s mockery. He spoke in a gentle voice, “I know why you don’t like Western food.
It's home-cooked here. You should like it. The decoration of the private room sets a lovely atmosphere, doesn’t
it?”
Stella spoke rudely to the waitress, “Give him the menu. This place is unsuitable for me, a poor person. | want to
throw up just looking at this place. | have no appetite.”
The waitress forced a smile. Stella turned to RK and said, “How can | eat anything when | have to look at such a
face?”
Seeing Stella's reaction, RK swirled his glass and took a sip of red wine. He could tell that she didn’t dislike the
Duke's Mansion, but rather him.
The waitress realized she was in a precarious position. The two of them were arguing, and she had been caught
in the middle. How could she bear the anger from both sides? She needed to say something to mediate the
situation; otherwise, she would end up like the doorman.
It wasn't just the high salary at the Duke’s Mansion that motivated her to keep her job. It was the fear of being
fired and offending Mr. Kingston, making it impossible for her to find work in X City.
The waitress steeled herself and looked for an opportunity. “Miss, if the food in our restaurant is not to your
taste, you might want to try our desserts.”
Stella's attention was drawn to the menu that had been carelessly tossed on the table. She pointed to the open
page, nodded in satisfaction, and smiled at the waitress in a friendly manner.

The waitress quickly followed her gaze and saw what Stella had pointed at. It didn’t matter that Stella didn’t like
to look at it; upon seeing it, the waitress’s heart skipped a beat. She could no longer maintain her smile and felt
her legs go weak with fear.
Stella didn’t give the waitress any chance to catch her breath. She waved her small hand at RK. “That's it.
I've heard that tiger penis soup is good for health.” RK then ordered a few dishes and motioned for the waitress
to leave. Before she left, RK deliberately emphasized, “Bring the dish that this lady ordered.” If Stella wanted to
play a prank, he would accommodate her.
The waitress hurried away with the menu in hand. RK also asked the others to leave, leaving just the two of them
in the private room. Stella looked around, encouraging herself to have the courage to face RK.
The meal passed in silence, leaving Stella puzzled about RK’s intentions. Could it be that he was simply treating
her to a meal? It didn’t seem like his style at all.
The meal ended in a strange atmosphere. Nothing unpleasant happened, and both remained silent throughout.
RK had specifically requested the tiger penis soup. Unfortunately, the waitress informed him that they were out
of the necessary ingredients and couldn't prepare it.
RK wiped the corner of his mouth with a tissue. He looked at Stella, who rested her chin on her hand at the other
end of the table, and said, “Take a walk withto digest the food later.”
