Stella moved her hand away and didn’t even look at him. “I am going home.” With that, she grabbed her bag
and stood up to leave.

her mouth. Then, he tightly grasped Stella’s hand. Without giving her a chance to refuse, he dragged her into the
car.
RK locked the car doors and watched as Stella repeatedly tried to open the door, failing each time.
Giving up on opening the door, Stella kicked it angrily. “Letout.”
“I will let you go when | am done speaking.” RK pressed Stella down and fastened her seatbelt. The car then
sped through the endless stream of traffic.
Stella simply closed her eyes and pretended to be asleep, refusing to look at him. To ease the mood in the car,
RK turned on the sound system, and soothing songs filled every corner of the vehicle.

RK parked the car by the beach. When Stella felt the car cto a stop, she opened her eyes. “Why did you
bringto the beach?” RK rubbed his nose and got out to open the car door.
Stella didn’t wait for RK to open the door for her. She opened it and stepped out on her own. She looked at RK
cautiously and smiled helplessly. “Why are you looking atlike that? | can’t eat you anymore.”
Stella snorted and turned to gaze at the sea. The ocean looked more like a huge sapphire shining in the night
sky, revealing its open and gentle side. She stood with her arms outstretched in the wind, like a bird about to
spread its wings and fly.
The faint moonlight fell upon her, making her appear softer than usual. RK couldn't help but admire her. He
stepped forward, took off his jacket, draped it over her shoulders, and hugged her from behind.
Stella's body stiffened at once, rejecting his embrace. RK pressed his lips against her ear and said softly, “Be
careful. Don’t catch a cold.”
Stella broke free from his hold. “Get straight to the point. It’s not your style to beat around the bush.”

slowly took something out from the pocket on the left side of his shirt. His eyes were filled with a tenderness that
Stella didn’t understand.
