Chapter 1124 A Selfless Man

"Yes," Otto Walkins replied honestly. "My boss doesn't have many friends. Over the years, only Mr. Belcourt has remained steadfast

by his side."

Colin was taken aback. The bodyguard is surprisingly frank! Is Damien's lack of social skills such an open secret?

Otto seemed to read Colin's thoughts and shrugged nonchalantly. "It's not exactly a secret."

Colin pursed his lips, thinking about Damien. With his perpetually stern face and aloof demeanor, it wasn't surprising he didn't

have many friends. Although they looked almost identical, Colin had to admit he was much more likable than Damien.

Turning to look out the car window, Colin mused, "Still, with my current situation... is Lennon here to help me?"

"Not entirely," Otto responded calmly. "Although Mr. Belcourt did cause a scene at your wedding, he seemed sincere when he

approached my boss about this. | don't think he's here to make trouble. More likely, he's seeking sform of atonement."

"Atonement?" Colin raised an eyebrow. A bad feeling crept into his gut. He scoffed, "Does he wantto resolve mypany

issues quickly so | can set Lucy free?"

"Mr. Belcourt doesn't know your marriage with Ms. Staber is a business arrangement."

"Perhaps..."

"Maybe..." Otto paused, recalling how Lennon seemed earnest when he volunteered to Damien and said he would help Colin.

"Maybe he believes you and Ms. Staber are in love. That's why he wants to help."

Colin frowned, a cold laugh escaping his lips. "Let's hope so."

After hearing what Lucy revealed at the wedding the previous day, Colin began to dislike Lennon and doubt his integrity.

Could such a man be selfless enough to help his rival? Impossible!

The office was silent.

When Colin pushed the door open, Damien was engrossed in reading a document. Meanwhile, a tired-looking Lennon lay on the

couch beside him. Lennon, who had caused a scene at the wedding the previous day, was now dozing off with his eyes shut,

exhaustion etched into his features.

Hearing the door, Damien glanced up. "Didn't sleep well last night?"

Colin was surprised by the question and instinctively glanced at his reflection in the glass. He thought he looked perfectly

"Just a hunch," Damien replied, elegantly closing the file. "You look like | do when | haven't slept well."

Colin pursed his lips and chose to remain silent. After all, he hadn't slept well last night because he was too preoccupied with

recounting his story to Lucy.

Clearing his throat, he pointed to the sleeping Lennon. "What's he doing here?"

"He quit his job at Lenoir Group to be your assistant," Damien explained, stretching and tossing the document he had just finished

onto the desk before Colin. "This is an analysis of Gray Group's power structure, which he worked on last night. It's quite thorough;

you should be able to understand it."

Colin picked up the document and read through it carefully. Then he looked at the sleeping Lennon in astonishment. "He... wants to

help me?"

"Yes," Damien nodded. "He wants you to deal with these issues quickly so you can spend more twith Lucy."
