Chapter 1125 A Messy Situation
Colin was struck speechless. It took him a while topose himself before he looked at Damien again, asking, "Didn't he cause
trouble at the wedding yesterday?"
"He gave up," Damien said, his voice low and indifferent. "We're all smart enough not to waste ton a hopeless cause. If he and
Lucy were meant to reconcile, they would have done so by now. After tormenting each other for years, it's better to let go. He's
moved on."
Colin did not know what to say. Despite his general dislike for Lennon, hearing that he had given up so quickly stirred some
difort. Lucy is such a fantastic woman... couldn't he have fought a little harder?

"Let's not dwell on other people's ," Damien said, shrugging. "The documents Lenn prepared for you are top-notch. Half an
hour before the meeting starts—that's enough time."
Colin shook off his thoughts and focused on the task at hand. He sat down and opened the file. Damien was right. Lennon had
meticulouslyanized the information, detailing the power structures behind each shareholder, their allies, and their financial
standings.
Lennon's skill was undeniable. This in-depth analysis might even surpass what his cousin, Jude, could produce.
As Colin read further, he realized how chaotic Gray Group was. Many of its shareholders weren't from the Gray family but were old
friends of his uncle from the early days of the business. While they had once been close, thepany's growth and the
subsequent uneven profit distribution had bred discontent. Many were waiting for the Gray family to fall from power, and now, with
Colin at the helm, he was their prtarget.
Jude had refused the position of Gray Group president, and everyone had been eager to place their candidate in that role. Colin's
sudden appearance didn't sit well with them. Only now did he fully understand the severity of the situation within thepany.
Previously, neither his uncle, Aunt Dorothy, nor Jude would tell him how messy the situation within Gray Group was.
"Time's up."
A deep voice broke Colin's concentration. He saw Lennon, freshly showered and dressed, standing before him. Lennon yawned and
glanced at him nonchalantly. "Mr. Gray, it's tfor the meeting."
Colin frowned. "But | haven't fully memorized these yet..."
"That's why I'm here," Lennon replied coolly. "lI know Gray Group and its shareholders better than you do."

He turned to leave. "It's best not to be late on your first day
Colin scrambled to his feet, casting a glance at Damien.
"Go on," Damien nodded. "Everyone knows Lennon is with me. | don't need to be there myself."
Colin nodded back and hurried after Lennon. As Colin disappeared from view, Damien rose calmly and closed the office door.
On Damien'sputer screen, Cherise was lounging by a window in a light-yellow nightgown, basking in the sunlight and eating
strawberries.
"Will this really work?" she asked.
