meeting, Zachary stepped out to take a phone call. When he returned, his face was marred with injury. and he

At eight in the morning. Ezekiel pushed open the door to the private room, where Tamara was already seated

Ezekiel was a businessman. Every move he made was tied to his own interests, and he didn't believe in fruitless

efforts

Aside from Lenora and Johanne's people, the only other person who could have reached Gaston before he was

apprehended by the police was Ezekiel's people.

Ezekiel smiled, his expression unchanging. "Id appreciate it if you don't make baseless accusations, especially

when you have no evidence. What could | possibly gain from bribing Gaston to protect Susanna?

Tamara replied. "Only you know that. Even if you don't admit it, it doesn't maner. All | know is that what you did

was exactly to my liking"

Ezekiel lifted his gaze, a hint of sarcasm flashing in his eyes. "With Johanne in jail, Fuller Group is now in your

son's hands. You've really played your cards well.

Tamara didn't deny it. "Aside from that, there's also Lenora. Zack married Lenora, but he didn't cherish her. He

Every word from Tamara entered Lenora's ears, making her feel as if she had been plunged into an icy cellar.

She strained to open her eyes wide, lifting her gaze and taking a deep breath. How could | have forgotten what
