Chapter 100
Chapter 100
She might have acted easygoing most of the time, but she wasn’t dumb.
Especially after everything that had happened recently, she had learned to pick up on the smallest details. The
moment Elysia made even the slightest movement, she knew something was off.
Elysia realized she couldn't hide it and smiled faintly. “It's Grace. She wants to meeton the rooftop.”
“Grace? At this time? That can’t be good.”
“I know.”
“If you know, then why are you still going?”
Hearing that, Elysia’s lips curled slightly. “If | don’t go, wouldn’t that be a waste of all the effort she put in for
me?”

“In that case, I'm going with you.” Ava immediately linked arms with her, afraid Elysia would refuse. She even
started acting cute to get her way. “Elysia, takewith you, okay? Please?”
Elysia could never say no when Ava talked like that, so she had no choice but to nod. “Alright.”
When they got to the rooftop, the first thing they saw was Grace's back. Elysia’s gaze paused slightly. From the
way she was standing...like she was planning to jump.
As soon as that thought crossed Ava’s mind, she gasped. “Hey, Grace! What are you doing?”
Hearing the voice behind her, Grace turned around. The moment she saw Ava, her face darkened.
Then, her eyes shifted to Elysia, her tone sharp. “I told you to calone.”
Ava scoffed, crossing her arms. “What? Am | ruining your plans?
Elysia kept her hands in her pockets, her voice cool. “Why did you askto come?”
“You were the one who exposed me,” yelled Grace.
“I gave you a chance, but you didn’t take it,” said Elysia.

As she spoke, Elysia stepped closer, leaning in to whisper in Grace's ear, “You brought this on yourself.”
The mocking tone in Elysia’s voice made something inside Grace snap. She lunged forward, reaching out to grab
Elysia’s throat, but before she could even touch her, Elysia kicked her away.
It was only then that Ava reacted, quickly stepping in front of Elysia,
She glared at Grace, who was now on the ground, her voice full of anger. “You're actually insane. You were trying
to kill her! Do you really think | won’t make sure you spend the rest of your life in prison?”
Then she turned back to Elysia, her voice softer. “Elysia, are you okay?”
“I'm fine, replied Elysia.
“It’s my fault. | almost let her get to you. Good thing you reacted so fast,” said Ava.

Seeing how guilty and worried Ava looked, Elysia reached out and gently patted her hand. “I'm fine.”
Grace watched them, then let out a cold laugh. “Elysia, | hate you so much.

“I hate that you always have everything, that you always get what you want, that you're always better than
everyone else... I'm so jealous of you. It’s drivingcrazy.
“Why is it that we're both human, but you were born rich and privileged, while | was born into nothing?
“Do you even realize that because you reported me, | might never be able to stay at this school? It’s all because
of you”
As Grace kept complaining, Elysia took a few steps forward.
Ava noticed and immediately grabbed her arm, shaking her head, telling her not to go.
Grace was acting crazy right now-what if she actually bit Elysia
Elysia glanced at Ava’s hand gripping her tightly and knew she was just worried. A small smile appeared on her
face. “Don’t
worry.”
Hearing that, Ava finally relaxed. With Elysia’s skills, there was no way Grace could hurt her.
When she looked up again, Elysia was already crouching in front of Grace, her tone playful. “It’s not surprising
that you're jealous of me. That just proves I'm really good... but do you think | was born this way?”
Grace looked up at her, and the moment their eyes met, she saw disdain in Elysia’s gaze. Her heart clenched.
Elysia continued, “No one is born excellent. Haven't you realized? You always blother people for your
problems but never reflect on yourself.
“Instead of wasting your tlike this, why not spend it improving yourself? And honestly... the person who
looks down on you the most isn’t anyone else—it’s you.”
Elysia paused for a couple of seconds before continuing, “You say | was born into a rich family, but do you even
know? | was abandoned by my biological parents for eighteen years.
“Have you ever gone eighteen years without parents?”
Grace stared into her eyes and instinctively took a step back. The coldness in Elysia’s gaze was terrifying.
Seeing her reaction, Elysia smirked. “I never said | was a good person. Since you decided to mess with me, you
should've been ready for what was coming.” With that, she stood up.
Grace trembled all over-whether from fear or anger, she didn’t even know.
She had no idea what to do anymore because she simply wasn’t a match for Elysia.
Seeing her stay silent, Elysia lost interest in wasting tand called Ava over. The two of them left the rooftop
together.
Watching them walk away, Grace couldn’t hold back her tears anymore. Was this really how her life was going to
be from
now on?
At that moment, Ava clung to Elysia’s arm, grinning from ear to ear.

“You're that happy?” asked Elysia.

“Of course! The bad guy finally got what she deserved, and now she’s completely miserable. She might not even
be able to cback to school. How could | not be happy?” replied Ava.
“She might not cback? What do you mean? Elysia was confused.
“The school only gave Grace a probationary punishment-why wouldn't she be able to return?” she asked.
Hearing that, Ava quickly explained, “Elysia, you're new here, so there are sthings you probably don’t know.
“Grace got into this school through a special admission program. With her family’s situation, there's no way she
could've gotten into a prestigious school like Milton on her own.
“Just the tuition alone is something she couldn’t afford. And from what | heard, her family strongly favors boys
over girls, and her dad’s a drunk.
“If it weren't for this program-where students don’t have to pay tuition, get a living allowance each semester,
and Grace's grades were decent enough to win an occasional scholarship-her family would've made her drop out
a long tago.
“But now that she has a disciplinary record, all those benefits are gone, according to school rules. Her family
can’t afford the tuition, so in the end, they'll have no choice but to make her leave.”
Ava pouted. “Yeah, she’s got it rough, but | don’t feel bad for her at all. She brought this on herself. That's why
people say if someone’s pitiful, there's probably a reason behind it-it’s true.
After hearing Ava’s explanation, Elysia could more or less see why Grace had completely lost it earlier.
But Ava had a point-people who seem pitiful always have something about them that makes them hard to
sympathize with.
If Grace hadn't messed with her in the first place, she wouldn't have ended up like this.
