Chapter 31

As the principal, Levi wasn’t gonna stand by and watch Elysia mess up her future. “Elysia, you can pick any class

but Class 6” he said, leaning forward in his seat.

“I'm dead set on Class 6,” Elysia shot back, her voice as solid as a rock.

“Class 6 is a no-go for you. It’s packed with kids who couldn’t care less about hitting the books. You're gonna fall

behind for sure,” Levi warned, his brow furrowed in concern.

Elysia got what Levi was saying, but she wasn’t buying it. She thought Class 6 was right up her alley.

She said, “So what if they're not bookworms? There's more to life than just studying, and | don’t think they'll

bringdown.

“Sir, | want Class 6. I'm not looking to slack off. I'll promise you, if my grades take a nosedive, I'll transfer to

another class in a heartbeat. Sound good?”

Levi was torn. He could tell Elysia had her heart set on Class 6, but he was worried sick about her future. With

how she treated school like a game, moving her to Class 6 felt like giving her free rein.

If she ended up chilling like the rest of Class 6, he'd lose a student who had the potential to nail the SATs, maybe

even be the top dog in Sivro.

“Sir, I've already put my word out there. If my grades dip, I'm out of Class 6 and into whatever class you say.

What do you say?” Elysia said, her voice firm.

“Really, you'll do whatever | say?” Levi asked, raising an eyebrow.

“I'm good for my word,” Elysia assured, nodding.

“Alright then, you're cool with being serious in class and not causing any trouble?” Levi continued, his eyes

searching hers.

Elysia frowned. “When have | ever caused trouble?”

“Just humor me. Will you or won't you?” Levi prompted, his tone serious.

“Sure thing,” Elysia agreed, shrugging.

“Deal. I'll let you transfer to Class 6,” Levi said, his mind already racing through the plan. If her grades slipped,

he’d have her switch classes, and hopefully, he'd get her to focus on her studies

If he transferred her classes on a whim, she might not take her studies seriously. Weighing the two options, he

chose the one where he had more control. As for whether her grades would slip in Class 6, he was pretty sure

they would

Class 6 wasn't the top spot for studying or resources like Class 1. The real reason he agreed to Elysia’s request

was to let her hit a “brick wall.” He hoped she’d cback more respectful and focused on her studies after

taking the hit.

Hearing Levi agree to her request, Elysia picked up the Liberal Arts test papers she had put on the table earlier

and said, “Let's get this timer started.”

Hearing this, Levi pulled a timer from his drawer and hit the star button. By the tWayne showed up, Elysia

had already finished the Language and Composition test. Of course, she still hadn't written the essay.

Just as the clock hit noon, she finished up with the last test and tossed the papers onto the desk, stretching her

arms wide.

Levi glanced over, concern etched on his face. “You are done with all of them?”

“Yep, they're all right here. Take a look,” Elysia said, leaning back in her chair with a satisfied grin.

Levi picked up the stack, flipped through them, and scowled when he hit the essay section. He pointed at the

empty space. asking. “Why did you leave this blank?”

“Too much writing. | didn’t feel like doing it,” Elysia said with a casual shrug.

Levi was left speechless, but he couldn't really fault her. She'd been through two tests back to back and was

probably fried. If it weren't for Wayne keeping an eye on her, she probably would've skipped the essay questions

on the Liberal Arts test, too.

“No biggie. Once we get the scores from the STEM Language and Composition test, we can tack on the essay

points for her.” Wayne advised.

Levi nodded. “Sounds good to me.”

“I didn’t write the essay for the STEM Language and Composition test, either,” Elysia added nonchalantly.

Levi and Wayne stared at her, shocked. She was really testing the limits.

“Elysia, the essay is a huge chunk of your grade in Language and Composition. How could you just skip it?” Levi

asked, clearly not happy.

“Right, Elysia. Do you have any idea how much you're setting yourself back by not writing the essay?” Wayne

chimed in, his voice a mix of concern and disbelief.

Elysia looked at their worried faces and tried to ease their minds. “Don’t sweat it! I've got a feeling it won't be

that bad.”

“Won't be that bad? What does that even mean?‘ they both thought, totally confused. They had no clue what

“not that bad” meant in Elysia’s book.

Before they could ask for more details, Elysia was already on her feet. “If there's nothing else, I'm heading back

to class,” she said with a grin.

They swallowed their questions. At this point, they just had to wait for the final results. Then they nodded in

agreement. Elysia, seeing their response, turned and left the principal's office. When she got back to Class 1, her

classmates were all wearing expressions of anticipation, waiting to see what would happen next.

She walked straight to Bianca's desk, hands in her pockets, looking down at her with a smirk. “Don’t forget to

keep your word. One o'clock, meetat the track.”

Bianca clutched her pen tightly, head down, not saying a word.

Elysia leaned in closer, her voice low as she reminded her, “Don’t even think about backing out. You remember

what happened last time, right?”

“I've got a habit of recording stuff. If you try to weasel out of this I'll post the recording on the school forum. You

know the consequences,” she warned before heading back to her seat.

In reality, she didn’t have any recordings. She was just trying to scare Bianca into keeping her word and prevent

her from trying any tricks. In her opinion, Bianca was fully capable of going back on her promise.

Bianca, however, started shaking uncontrollably when Elysia mentioned the recording. She had forgotten that

Elysia would have something like that. She had been hoping to just pretend nothing had happened and deny

everything. But she hadn’t expected Elysia to be so prepared.

If she didn’t keep her promise, the recording would be posted on the school forum, and everyone would know

she had broken her word.

That would be way more embarrassing than doing frog jumps on the track and could even lead to her being

looked down upon. It seemed she had no choice but to go through with the frog jumps.

At one in the afternoon, Elysia was already hanging out on the track, waiting. Then Bianca showed up, followed

by a bunch of Class 1 students, all of them looking like they were about to cheer her on.

Elysia glanced at her sideways and said, “Let's get this started. Make sure you're hollering loud enough.” Seeing

Bianca wasn’t saying anything, she added, “Or do you want this to end up on the school forum?”

Bianca kept quiet, but one of the guys behind her piped up, “Elysia, is this really necessary? We're all classmates

here. This ain't good for nobody.”

Elysia frowned. If it was her getting the boot from Class 1 by Bianca, these guys wouldn't be saying stuff like that

to stick up for her. They'd be cheering and maybe even lending a hand.

She thought they were pretty two-faced. But too bad for them, Elysia wasn’t one to let things slide.

If it was someone else, they might've softened up and just let it go, thinking about old times.

But Bianca's luck wasn’t so hot. She wasn’t dealing with just anyone; she was dealing with Elysia. This wasn’t

gonna be an easy

fix.

Elysia glanced at the guy with a mischievous glint in her eyes and said, “Why don’t you take her place? Then she

can skip the frog jumps.”

Bianca looked at the guy, her eyes pleading, hoping he'd help her out.

But the guy hesitated, and after a long pause, he said, “Well... how can we mix this up? It wasn’twho made

the bet with you!”

“So, what are you pretending to be the good guy for?” Elysia said her tone light but her words sharp.

At their conversation, the glimmer of hope in Bianca's eyes vanished.

Elysia watched them with an amused expression and said casually, “Also, | should clarify that I'm not really your

classmate. I'm transferring to Class 6 soon.”
