Chapter 45
Elysia couldn't help but think to herself, ‘Seriously? How embarrassing! | really need to get over this habit of
having my heart race every ta handsguy is around.”
“Don’t you like the food here?” Zane asked, noticing that she hadn't touched her food. He was about to call the
waiter to bring a new menu and switch the dishes out, but Elysia snapped back to reality.
She saw his gesture and quickly waved her hand. “No need. | really like it.”
Stellar Restaurant was famous in Sivro and even throughout Clusia. The prices here were beyond what most
people could afford.
Zane had gone all out for this meal. He had booked the entire restaurant just for the two of them and had
selected their signature dishes.
While the cost didn’t matter to people like them, there was no way they could finish so much food with just the
two of them.
And obviously, Zane had probably done his homework on her eating preferences. Although he claimed he didn’t
know what she liked, the dishes were tailored to her taste.
“I'm glad you like it,” Zane said with a smile as he picked up a piece of salmon and placed it on her plate. “Try
this.”
Elysia picked it up and placed it in her mouth, savoring the fresh fish.
The autumn night in Sivro was freezing. As they left the restaurant, the cold wind hit them, ruffling Elysia’s loose
hair. She shivered involuntarily. Noticing this, Zane took off his black coat and draped it over her shoulders.
Elysia was about to refuse when he gently pressed her hand down to stop her from taking the coat off. His voice
was smooth and magnetic. “Don’t.”
The brief touch lasted only three seconds, but Elysia froze, staring after him.
As she watched Zane walking ahead, she quickly jogged to catch up. The faint minty scent from his coat filled
the air, and her heart seemed to skip a beat. “The size for the dress...”
“I'll send it to you later. Con, I'll give you a ride home,” said Zane.
Elysia nodded. “Okay.”
The atmosphere fell into a quiet lull, neither of them speaking again as they continued walking side by side.
When they reached the black Maybach, Elysia was about to open the backseat door, but Zane stopped her. “Sit
in the front.”

Elysia said, “The passenger seat?”
“Yeah. If you sit in the back, I'll feel like a chauffeur,” said he.
Elysia looked at Zane with a playful grin. “Mr. Hartley, you don’t have a girlfriend, do you?”
“No.” he replied, raising an eyebrow, “Do you have a boyfriend?”
Elysia said, “Of course not! I'm still young. No dating for me.”
Zane couldn't help but smile. “You're right. You're too young to be dating. Now get in the car.”
Elysia walked over to the passenger seat, opened the door, and sat down. Zane slid into the driver's seat,
started the car, and smoothly drove down the road.
Elysia said, “With such a handslook, Mr. Hartley, there must be a lot of girls who like you. How cyou're
still single?”
“You don’t have to callMr. Hartley,” said he.
Elysia said, “Then what should | call you? Zane? No, that sounds too close.”
Hearing this, Zane frowned. “I'm just a little older than you.”
“Are you sure?” asked she.
Zane said, “I'm only twenty-seven.”
“That's a three-year gap, and it’s still a generational divide! You're way older than me, so.... how about | call you
Sir?” Elysia raised an eyebrow, still

looking playful.
“Just takeas your elder brother,” said Zane.
Elysia said, “Elder brother?”
“Yeah,” said Zane.
Elysia suddenly felt like Zane was taking advantage of her. She wasn’t going to do that. She quickly turned her
head to look out the window.
The car fell into a quiet lull. Zane glanced at her, smiling and thinking, ‘She is an interesting little girl.”
The Maybach stopped in front of the Rosewood residence. Elysia handed his coat back to him, softly saying,
“Thanks.” Then she opened the door and stepped out of the car.
Zane didn’t leave until she was completely out of sight.
Upstairs, in the second-floor window, Emma watched the entire scene. Although she couldn't see the people in
the car clearly, she could tell from the way Elysia looked at the man that he must have been sgreasy
middle-aged man.
She thought, ‘No wonder Elysia rejected the Davis family-turns out she had a thing for that type.
‘I'm her elder sister and | have to help her.’ Emma chuckled softly, wondering, ‘Elysia, you won't be happy for
long. It won't take long before you ruin your reputation and beca disgrace in the Sivro elite circles!”
The next morning was the anniversary celebration at Milton School. The school’s anniversary event was always
scheduled in the morning, with regular classes resuming in the afternoon. Therefore, when Elysia arrived at
school, she immediately felt the unusually lively atmosphere.
When Ava saw Elysia, she excitedly ran over and grabbed her hand, pulling her toward the small auditorium.
Elysia was a little confused. She thought, ‘What is wrong with Ava?‘ She couldn't help but raise an eyebrow and
ask, “It’s just an anniversary celebration. Why are you so excited?”
“Of course, I'm excited, but not for the anniversary itself... it’s because...” Ava stopped abruptly, holding her
stomach and panting heavily.
Elysia said, “What's wrong?”
“I ran too fast and got a stitch.” Ava explained before quickly adding, “I just wanted to get a good spot to watch
my crush perform.”
Elysia said, “Your crush?”
Ava nodded. “For this year’s anniversary, the school invited Holden to be the opening guest. | heard he was
busy, so he originally turned it down, but somehow, he ended up agreeing to come.”
Elysia thought for a moment. ‘Holden? Is he the sguy who pulledalong last time?‘
Elysia said, “Is he popular?”
Ava’s eyes widened in surprise at Elysia’s question. “Elysia, almost everyone knows how famous he is in Clusia!
You're definitely one of the minority.”

After finishing her tic reaction, Ava eagerly began to fill Elysia in on Holden's achievements. “He started
acting at a young age, and in his second year, he got nominated for the Golden Petal Awards for Best Newcomer.
Over the years, he’s won countless awards.
“And with his good looks and wealth, he’s been collecting fans non-stop. Now, he’s one of the top stars in the
entertainment industry-everyone just calls him ‘The Emperor of Film!“”
Elysia listened to Ava’s explanation and nodded slightly. “Got it.”
Seeing Elysia’s calm reaction, Ava teasingly added, “You're playing it so cool right now, but | bet you'll be a fan
of my crush after you see him!”
Elysia said, “I don’t think so.”
Ava waved her hand dismissively. “Fine. Even if you're not into my crush, we need to grab seats in the
auditorium, or there won't be any good ones left!” She grabbed Elysia’s hand and pulled her toward the small
auditorium.
When they arrived, all the good seats in the front were already taken. Ava’s face dropped, disappointment
written all over her.
“How about we sit in the back? If we wait any longer, even those will be taken,” Elysia suggested.

Ava quickly snapped out of her funk, nodding in agreement. “You're right!”
Just as they were about to head toward the back, a cool, clear voice called out from behind them. “Elysia.”
They turned around to see Elena walking towards them. As she drew closer, she asked, “Are you a fan too?”
“No, I'm just here with my friend,” Elysia replied.
At the mention of “friend,” Elena finally noticed Ava standing aside. She gave her a quick, appraising look from
top to bottom before asking, “What's your name?”
Ava forced a smile. “Hi, Elena. I'm Ava Brown.”
Elysia raised an eyebrow, looking at Elena. “What are you doing here? Are you a fan of Holden?”
Elena chuckled at the question. “I'm not really into following celebrities. The student union is in charge of
maintaining order for the anniversary celebration, and I'm here for work. Do you need seats in the front?”
