Chapter 193 Injured Again It was only when the figure got closer that I realized that it was Harvey, the one who had been missing for quite stnow.

"Go to hell!" Harvey roared, holding a dagger in his hand.

I couldn't dodge in time, and I watched as the dagger was about to plunge into me. It was then that Eric suddenly sprang forward and pushed Harvey away.

In the next instant, Levi appeared out of nowhere, kicked the dagger from Harvey's hand, and pinned him down.

"Are you alright?" Eric asked as he glanced atworriedly.

I shook my head, indicating that I was fine. I then looked up and noticed a slash in Eric's shirt on his shoulder, with blood oozing from it.

"Your shoulder!" I exclaimed as I felt a sharp pang in my heart.

Eric shook his head, smiling gently as he said, "I'm fine. It's just a minor injury. I'm just relieved that you're alright. I'll just take a cab to the hospital later to get it patched up." Having said that, Eric stood up, walked to Harvey, and called the police.

Upon seeing the wound on Eric's shoulder, Levi furrowed his brows and tightened his grip on Harvey.

Harvey winced in pain and immediately began to struggle.

"You'd better stay still!" Levi kicked Harvey in the gut and growled. "You think you can just go around stabbing people, huh? You're really asking for trouble!" Having said that, Levi looked at Eric with a hint of unease flashing across his face. He then cleared his throat and asked, "Is your shoulder alright?" Eric looked surprised for a second, then nodded slowly and said, "I'm fine. It's just a tiny wound. I've been injured before, so this is nothing but a superficial wound." I couldn't stand it any longer, so I flagged down a cab, turned to Eric, and said, "You should go to the hospital first." Having said that, I turned to Levi and said apologetically, "I'm so sorry, Levi, but could you please wait here for the police? I need to go to the hospital with him." Levi was a bit unwilling. Yet as he glanced at Eric's wound, he relented and said with a nod, "You guys can go ahead. I've got it handled here." Upon hearing that, I immediately grabbed Eric and ushered him into the cab.

It was just like what Eric had said earlier he had managed to avoid the worst of it and only got a surface wound. It still required over ten stitches, though.

"It was a close call. It would've hit a nerve if it went deeper," I said as I looked at the bandages on Eric's shoulder, feeling overwhelmed with guilt.

Eric smiled and reassured me, saying, "I'm really fine. It's just a minor injury-no big deal." There was a brief silence before he muttered, "I'm just glad that it was me, not you." I looked up at him and asked, "What do you mean by that?" He gently held my fair arm and replied, "I don't mind having scars, but if you were scarred, you'd be reminded every tyou sawhow I had failed to protect you." I stared at Eric, feeling as if shidden part ofwas starting to break free.

It was then that a sudden voice suddenly interrupted the romantic om atmosphere between Enc and me. Levi opened the door slightly and peeked inside before saying, "I've finally found you guys."

Having said that, he breathed a sigh of relief and pushed open the door. He then noticed Eric gripping my arm, so he furrowed his brows and separated us, saying, "You'd better not take advantage of Jove OUMS Eric closed his eyes with a sigh, looking utterly exasperated. He then asked, "How are you always showing up around us? Did you put a tracker on Jagor something? You always know exactly where to find her." QUMS

Levi shrugged, looking completely innocent as he said, "I mean, if there's a will, there's a way. Xt Seems like the universe doesn't want you two together. Otherwise, I wouldn't have found you guys so easily." He even seemed a little proud of himself as he said that.

I couldn't help but interrupt them, asking, "What happened to Harvey?"
