Lizetta finally let out a relieved sigh, only for her moment of calm to be shattered by a sudden knock on the car window.
Startled, she turned to see a police officer in uniform peering seriously inside the car.
Her face turned pale as she instinctively grabbed onto Remington's suit jacket, trying to hide within it. Remington felt her tug, his body tensing once again. He glanced down at Lizetta who was burrowing into his arms and couldn't help but smile wryly.
"Liz, if you keep doing that, the officer might really get the wrong idea about us." Realizing her actions, Lizetta's cheeks flushed bright red. She playfully punched Remington's chest.
"This is all your fault! Now get out there and explain!" With that, she pushed him away, clutching a teddy bear as she tried to disappear behind it, mumbling to herself. "You don't see me, you don't see me." Remington chuckled at her antics, like a frightened little bunny.

"Hello," Remington greeted, his tone polite and composed.
Despite his courteous manner, the officer couldn't help but be taken aback by Remington's commanding presence as the window lowered, revealing his sharp features and intense gaze.
The officer instinctively stepped back, but maintained his duty, clearing his throat. "Sir, you can't park here for long periods." He added, "Even if it's a Rolls Royce with a fancy plate, you'll need to move it along." The tinted glass had kept the officer from seeing inside earlier, making him wonder why the car had stopped. Remington shifted slightly, his broad shoulders blocking any view inside.
"Of course, I apologize. I'll move right away," he replied, his voice cooperative but his eyes still holding an air of authority.
The officer nodded, stepping aside.
Remington rolled up the window and got out of the car, nodding apologetically to the officer before walking around to the driver's seat. He glanced in the rearview mirror.
Lizetta was still hiding behind her teddy concar, her small frperfectly concealed. If not for her dress peeking out, even Remington might have had trouble spotting her.
He smirked lightly. "Alright, sit tight. We're moving." As the car started to roll forward, he teased, "You might want toout before you suffocate back there. I can't promise what I'll do if you pass out." Lizetta's head popped out from behind the bear, her face still flushed as she shot him a look of mock annoyance.
"Where are you taking me?" She turned to the window, trying to mask her embarrassment.
"Worried about Yolanda, remember? I'm taking you to her," Remington explained softly.
Lizetta turned to him in surprise.

"Didn't you just say we shouldn't m meddle in Yolanda's relationship ve ? that she's just acting up?" Could it be that her anger had actually changed his mind? Her confusion was evident, and Remington gave her a knowing look.
"Your words remindedof us back in the day. I was reflecting endit, land that's when I decided to take you to her. But then you got upset."
Lizetta opened her mouth to speak, her face heating up again, words of apology stuck in her throat. Just then, they stopped at a red light.
Remington unbuckled his seatbelt, leaning closer to her, tapping his cheek with a slender finger.
"I've kissed you plenty today. How about you take this chance to make it up to me?"
