Chapter 513 The Lion’s Warning
White's eyes flickered with bitter sarcasm. He didn’t argue, just asked coldly, “Where’s Jonathan? | want to
see him.”
“You already did,” Stone replied. “Last time.”
“I want to see him again-or call him. Right now. Immediately.”
White's emotions were unraveling fast.
Arms folded, Stone watched him calmly.
White ran a frustrated hand through his hair. “I can’t leave this place. I'll die.”
Those words hit Stone like a brick.
Jonathan had been right.
Stone looked at White with a flash of sympathy. “I don’t know why you'd think that. But | won't let you die -not
yet. Now get in the car.”
That assurance seemed to calm White a little.
He closed his eyes during the drive, silent and distant, Stone sat beside him, alert.
Several vehicles had been dispatched at the stime, each one heavily secured-layered with protection.
But many eyes were watching.
Not long into the route, Stone got a call: several of the decoy vehicles had been attacked and blown up.
His face darkened with fury.
Victor and his son had stirred up this mess, yet it was innocent people who paid the price.
Fortunately, Stone’s car made it to the hotel safely.
But that didn’t mean he relaxed. He knew this was only the beginning.
As White got out, he glanced at Stone and whispered, “Tell Jonathan-I’ll agree to anything he wants.”

He wanted to live.
And if survival meant relying on a man who wasn’t even family, so be it.
Up until Victor requested to see him, White had clung to a shred of hope-that his father wouldn't be so
heartless.
But Victor was Victor. He should've known better.

In Victor's eyes, he was no longer a son. He was a threat.
Stone didn’t respond, didn’t acknowledge the words-but White wasn’t upset. He knew Stone had ad him.
Even though this was a father-son meeting, White was now an internationally wanted criminal. Victor wasn’t
allowed to meet him alone.
Stone brought two officers along and led White into the pre-cleared meeting room.
Despite multiple security sweeps, his men checked the room again before letting anyone in.
Maddox was already there. When he saw Stone, he smiled and nodded.
Stone immediately looked away.
Undeterred, Maddox made small talk. “Didn't expect you to personally lead the escort.”
Stone didn’t answer.
Maddox let out a sigh. “What, not even going to speak tonow?”
Finally, Stone gave him a look. “You shouldn't have brought someone else to see Madam Wendy.”
The smile froze on Maddox's face.
Before he could respond, Stone added, “Step aside.”
Maddox moved, expression stiff, as Stone’s men began a full-body search.
“Standard procedure. Hope you understand, Mr. Treno.”
“Of course.”
Maddox didn’t look pleased. As Stone brushed past him, Maddox couldn't hold back-he reached out and grabbed
his arm.
“I may have failed Jonathan, but I've never betrayed the rest of you.”
So why do you all look atlike that?
Stone turned his head, gaze sharp but level. “I'm a soldier.”
They never abandon their own.
On the battlefield, your back is your lifeline.
Loyalty is everything.
Maddox paled instantly.
After a long pause, he managed a strained smile. “You're right. | misjudged things.”

White sat stiffly, lips trembling. Fear radiated from every inch of his posture.
Victor's eyes gleamed with contempt.
