Phillips watched her leave, completely unsettled.
Now what was he supposed to do? Even though Hadley's logic made sense, he still couldn't shake the feeling that Eric would expect her there when he opened his eyes.

Like him, she was wearing hospital clothes, though her stay was precautionary-aside from feeling cold and a little shaken, she'd escaped unharmed. At Ernest's insistence, she remained in the hospital overnight, just to ensure she was completely fine.
Ernest himself was present, quietly standing guard nearby.
Eric acknowledged them with a slight nod.
"Linda, Ernest." "About tyou woke up," Linda said, giving him a gentle yet reproachful look.

"Have you spoken to her? Is everything alright with her?" Linda didn't give Ernest a chance to speak, instead letting out a bitter laugh filled with obvious disdain.
